Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting

REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED. Please contact office@lwvdanecounty.org with questions.

All members of the League of Women Voters of Dane County are invited to our 2022 Annual Meeting via Zoom. This is your opportunity to hear from League leadership, reflect on the past year, and help guide what’s ahead for the organization.

Member Agenda

  1. Read the Annual Meeting Materials for preparing to vote on the 2022-23 budget, proposed Memorial Trust Fund withdrawal, program proposal, and new officers and board directors.

  2. Read the Annual Report to be knowledgeable about the work of our members over the past year.

  3. Review the Sample Ballot. LWVDC Bylaws require that this sample ballot be mailed to all members ahead of the Annual Meeting. Do not return the ballot that was mailed to you OR the sample ballot linked below. Members will vote using an online form at the Annual Meeting. Only members who attend via Zoom will be eligible to vote.

  4. Read the Land Acknowledgement that was crafted to be shared on June 2.

  5. For reference: Summary of Parliamentary Rules

You may notice there are a few open Board Director seats. The Membership Director will be elected during the Annual Meeting. Any voting member may nominate themselves or someone else (with the nominee's permission) from the floor during the Annual Meeting. The 2022-23 Board will appoint the rest of these open positions at a future meeting, per our Bylaws.

In addition to conducting our business meeting, we will be recognizing two new 50-year (life) members at our annual meeting. Congratulations Nancy Jensen and Kathy Johnson!

The Defender of Democracy Award will be announced at the meeting on June 2!
