League Members in the News
As was reported in the updates newsletter from LWV Wisconsin, several League members have been in the news recently. Dane County is the local league for each of them!
Andrea Kaminski, LWVWI Legislative Coordinator, wrote an op-ed about LWVWI's history of advocacy for fair maps. The piece ran in many papers across the state, including The Capitol Times. League of Women Voters supports redistricting reform.
Ingrid Rothe, LWVWI Legislative Committee Chair and member of LWV Dane County, is recognized by Community Shares of Wisconsin as a February 2019 Backyard Hero for her volunteer work with LWV, including as co-chair of the Dane County Voter ID Coalition. Thanks to Ingrid and all League volunteers!
Melanie Ramey, LWVWI Board of Directors, was interviewed for a piece in the Daily Cardinal on women's evolving role in government, Women in the State Legislature.
