Is the Dane County Jail too often the last resort for people in mental health/drug/alcohol crisis? Is our public mental health system a fragmented patchwork of disconnected programs where disturbed people easily fall through the cracks? Can we create a more comprehensive system to protect and treat people facing mental health challenges? The League supports Dane County’s new study of the gaps in our mental health system.
