For 2009–2010, the following Study and Action Committees are active.
Children and Families at Risk: Study and advocate issues of importance to vulnerable children and families.
Community Outreach: Establish contacts with grassroots organizations in low voter-turnout communities to increase awareness of local issues and of how to influence outcomes; partner with other organizations of color.
Criminal Justice: Study alternatives to incarceration, progress on implementing the 2007 Criminal Justice Assessment recommendations, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Dane County Government: Study issues such as the size of the County Board, review LWVDC's county positions, review and revise the League's Dane County Government booklet.
Education: Study and advocate education issues at the local level.
International Relations: Participate in the LWVDC's Great Decisions discussion group on foreign policy issues.
Transportation and Land Use: Study and advocate public policy and goals on a local, state, and national basis.
